🛣️ 2. On the Road (Driving)
Crucial safety tips. Watch this before you pull out of the parking lot.
Key Points:
- Height: Your RV is 11 feet tall. Watch for low bridges!
- Mirrors: How to use extended mirrors for lane changes.
- Braking: Allow 2x more stopping distance than a car.
- Gas: You need regular gas (usually), but check the cap.
⛺ 3. At Camp (Hookups)
How to connect to water, electricity, and sewer at the campground.
Key Points:
- Electricity: 30 Amp vs 50 Amp adapters. Turn OFF breaker before plugging in.
- Water: Use the Pressure Regulator (white/blue cylinder) to protect hoses.
- Sewer: Connect Black hose first. Always keep the cap on!
- Leveling: Use blocks under wheels if the ground is not flat.
🚽 4. RV Toilet & Tanks (Important!)
The #1 reason for extra fees. Read carefully.
Key Points:
- ONLY Toilet Paper: Use RV-specific TP (white bags). Regular TP clogs the tank.
- Water Level: Add water to the black tank every time you flush. Don't let it get dry.
- Dumping: Black tank first, then Grey tank (to rinse the hose).
- Fee Warning: Clogged toilets result in a $150 service fee.
